Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by The Whitening Clinic (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any patient or client (“you”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with our services.

2. Scope of Services

We exclusively provide professional dental-grade teeth whitening using the Boutique Whitening system. All treatments are provided by GDC-registered dental professionals. We do not provide general dentistry, restorative, or NHS treatments.

3. Online Booking & Deposits

  • All bookings must be made via our secure online platform.

4. Payments

  • Full payment must be made on the day whitening scans are taken.

  • We accept debit/credit cards and cash payments. We do not accept cheques.

  • All prices are valid for 3 months from issue of the treatment plan.

  • Cosmetic whitening is not covered by NHS funding. Private insurance reimbursement remains the responsibility of the patient.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • To cancel, please email cancellations@thewhiteningclinic.co.uk
  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours or failure to attend will result in you needing to pay for a deposit to secure any future consultations

  • Late arrivals over 5 minutes may be rescheduled at our discretion and will incur a rebooking fee.

6. Clinical Suitability & Consent

  • Whitening treatment will only proceed following a clinical assessment confirming you are dentally fit.
  • You must sign a written consent form prior to treatment, confirming you understand the procedure, risks, and aftercare.
  • Active decay, gum disease, or other conditions must be treated prior to whitening. We may refer you to your general dentist where required.

7. Age and Health Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Whitening is not provided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must disclose your full medical history and inform us of any changes.

8. Treatment Limitations and Risks

  • Whitening does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, fillings, or other restorations.

  • Results vary between individuals and are not guaranteed.

  • Temporary tooth sensitivity and mild gum irritation are common and resolve naturally.

9. Aftercare

  • Avoid staining foods, drinks, and smoking for 48 hours after whitening.
  • Maintain excellent OH and attend regular dental check-ups.
  • Top-up gels and maintenance advice are available upon request.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, written material, and educational resources are owned by The Whitening Clinic and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

11. Data Protection

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal information is only processed for clinical care, booking, and compliance purposes. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

12. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:
– Variation in treatment results.
– Known side effects of whitening.
– Issues arising from failure to follow advice.
– Lost or damaged personal items on clinic premises.
This does not exclude liability for negligence resulting in injury or death.

13. Warranties and Guarantees

Whitening results cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance top-ups may be required for long-term results. We provide no warranty on colour longevity.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms without prior notice. Updates will be posted on our website with the effective date clearly indicated.

15. Complaints

Complaints must be submitted in writing to info@thewhiteningclinic.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and provide a full response within 20 working days.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

  • Please note: whitening does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, or other dental restorations.
